What You'll Do
- →Professional knowledge of accounting principles, theories, procedures, concepts, and practices, and knowledge of the program goals, objectives, and major issues affecting accounting and finance operations.
- →Extensive knowledge of automated accounting and accounting systems, policies, procedures, and practices which are used in accomplishing accounting functions to meet prescribed requirements.
- →Skill in adapting conventional financial, accounting, and analytical techniques to solve a variety of accounting problems.
- →Ability to interpret, apply and develop new guidelines and principles to administer resource management functions.
Requirements
- ✓Education is not substitutable for specialized experience at this grade level.
- ✓This position requires you to obtain and maintain a Level 2 Certification under the DoD Financial Management (FM) Certification Program as a condition of employment.
- ✓If you are selected, you will have to obtain this certification within two (2) years of your entry on duty in the position unless you are already in a position that requires a Level 2 Certification in which case you must complete the certification within the original 2-year period.
- ✓Failure to become certified within the required time-frame may be grounds for removal from the position and/or from Federal service.
