About the Role
The FRTIB is looking for a highly qualified and motivated individual to serve as a Writier-Editor. Special selection priority consideration will be given under the Career Transition Assistance program (CTAP) and the Interagency Career Transition Assistance Program (ICTAP) to well-qualified surplus or displaced candidates within the local commuting area.
What You'll Do
- →Writes and edits TSP booklets, forms, fact sheets, tax information, and other informational content distributed to participants and beneficiaries through various media, including the TSP website, emails, videos, social media, and presentations.
- →Proofreads draft and final materials; reviews content for accuracy, clarity, consistency, tone, and overall effectiveness; and conducts final quality assurance reviews of published products.
- →Facilitates internal agency reviews of messaging, publications, and other content; analyzes feedback from reviewers and revises drafts accordingly to ensure accuracy and alignment with agency objectives.
- →Serves as the agency's lead authority to ensure organization, clarity, simplicity, and appropriateness of tone, as well as correct sentence structure and word choice.
Requirements

- ✓Probationary Period.
- ✓One-year probationary period may be required.
- ✓Selective Service.
- ✓If you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959, you must certify that you have registered with the Selective Service System, or are exempt from having to do so under the Selective Service Law.
- ✓Background Suitability Investigation.
- ✓Continued employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of a background investigation and the granting of a federal suitability or security clearance.
- ✓If selected, you may be offered tentative employment until the background investigation has been fully adjudicated.
- ✓Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must meet the Time-in-Grade Requirement, which is 52 weeks of federal service at the next lower grade, GS-12.
- ✓Education may not be substituted for experience for this series and grade combination.
