About the Role
This position serves as Without Compensation (WOC) Research Statistician within the Office of Research and Development (ORD). The VA Research Program strives to promote Veteran-centered care to improve patient experiences and outcomes across VA healthcare and community settings, and to advance value-driven care by providing Veterans the highest quality care at the lowest financial burden. Please note, there is not pay associated with this position.
What You'll Do
- →Responsible for conceptualizing, designing, initiating, formulating, planning, executing, and disseminating the statistical methods for a wide range of research projects.
- →Provides methodological expertise as the senior statistician to top level subject matter specialists and agency officials responsible for broad research and operational programs.
- →Advises and consults on a variety of problems involving the theory or application of statistical methods.
- →Originates new statistical methods for projects of a broad and comprehensive nature.
- →Plans, directs, and coordinates a variety of specialized and complex statistical analyses.
- →Oversees and participates in major research projects that investigate important and difficult issues in Veteran health and health care delivery and address key gaps in knowledge.
- →Involves complex theoretical and empirical issues and requires innovation and original efforts at the highest level of sophistication.
- →Work Schedule: Full-time (Without Compensation)
Requirements
- ✓Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
