About the Role
Now hiring: The Veterans Canteen Service (VCS) Central Office, located at the Jefferson Barracks VA Medical Center in St. Louis, MO, is currently recruiting for the Human Resources Specialist - Technical Review position within our Human Resources Division.
What You'll Do
- →Duties include, but are not limited to the following: Personnel Action Quality Assurance: Review and verify all personnel actions to ensure they are accurate, complete, and processed in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
- →Employee Recognition Program Administration: Review and approve employee recognition award submissions to ensure they meet established criteria, are accurately documented, and are processed promptly.
- →Partner with leadership to maintain consistency and integrity throughout the award approval process.
- →HR Compliance Audits: Conduct regular audits of Human Resources records and processes to ensure data accuracy, regulatory compliance, and adherence to company policies.
- →Document findings, identify areas for improvement, and recommend corrective actions.
- →HR Data Management: Maintain accurate employee records within Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), including pay rates, employment dates, benefits, and other personnel information.
- →Process Improvement: Analyze audit results and system reports to identify recurring issues, improve workflows, and develop updated procedures that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall HR operations.
- →HR Systems Support and Training: Serve as the Human Resources subject matter expert for complex processes and HR systems by providing technical guidance, interpreting policies, and training staff on accurate data entry and best practices.
- →Additional Responsibilities & Flexibility: Perform and adapt to additional responsibilities as needed.
