THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a TITLE 5 HR SPEC (MILITARY) (MI HRO), Position Description Number NGT5927000 and is part of the MI HRO Air, National Guard.
What You'll Do
- →***THIS IS A TITLE 5 EXCEPTED NATIONAL GUARD POSITION*** This position is located in the JFHQ-State Human Resources Office (HRO).
- →The purpose of this position is to provide management and sustainment advisory services for the Army and/ or Air National Guard (ARNG/ANG) Full-Time Support (FTS) Title 32 Active Guard and Reserve (AGR) Program(s).
- →The incumbent performs work in a minimum of two of the following programs with no less than 25% each.
- →Up to four programs may be assigned for a total of 100%.
- →Programs covered are: "recruitment and placement", "military compatibility, entitlements, reduction-in-force", "retirements, separations, benefits", "resource allocation".
- →RECRUITMENT AND PLACEMENT Provides advice and support to managers, supervisors, and the HRO on recruitment and placement actions for AGR Personnel.
- →Identifies appropriate qualification standard to be applied, validates hire authority, develops position announcements, locates position applicants, develops candidate evaluation criteria, and evaluates candidate eligibility, and refers qualified candidates for selection consideration.
- →MILITARY COMPATIBILITY, ENTITLEMENTS, REDUCTION-IN-FORCE Ensures required selection documentation and information contained thereon is correct including military compatibility; ensures all medical and fitness requirements are met in accordance with existing policies and guidelines for AGR members; checks security requirements; initiates select/non-select letters, etc.
- →Manages the monitoring and reporting of the Army Full time National Guard Duty (FTNGD) Program including Active-Duty Operational Support (ADOS), and One-Time Occasional Tours (OTOT).
- →RETIREMENTS, SEPARATIONS, BENEFITS Responsible for the timely and accurate administration of voluntary and involuntary separation actions and Army AGR retirement actions.
- →Advises and counsels AGR members and dependents on support agencies and benefits programs.
- →RESOURCE ALLOCATION Consults with other Human Resources Specialist to facilitate Full-Time manning reporting.
- →Reviews manpower documentation (Full Time Support Management Control System (FTSMCS)/Voucher, Tables of Distribution and Allowance (TDA), Modified Tables of Organization and Equipment (MTOEs), Unit Manning Document (UMD)).

Requirements
- ✓You must meet the following Education requirement to qualify for education in lieu of specialized experience for this position: master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your Educational claims.
- ✓To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
