About the Role

This position is located in Response Directorate, Disaster Emergency Comm Div, Frederick MERS Detachment. The ideal candidate for this position will have emergency communications experience, strong troubleshooting abilities, and dedication to supporting disaster response operations in challenging environments.

  • EXCEPTED SERVICE: This is a full-time position in the Mobile Emergency Response Support (MERS) Detachment.
  • MERS positions are in the excepted service.

  • EMERGENCY ASSIGNMENT: Every FEMA employee has regular and recurring emergency management responsibilities, though not every position requires routine deployment to disaster sites.
