This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration, Office of the Federal Register (OFR). The incumbent carries out assignments designed to further develop and fine-tune technical skills and judgmental aspects of the work associated with the Unit to which the employee is assigned, and the overall operations of the OFR.
What You'll Do
- →The following are the duties of this position at the GS-12.
- →If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.
- →As a Technical Writer-Editor, you will: Properly manipulate the contents of documents and of Federal Register publications to ensure legally effective, timely, and accurate publication of them.
- →Manage work, whether done independently, as a team member, or in leading others, to achieve timely, accurate publication of all documents and accomplish all program goals.
- →Understand and appropriately address customer needs associated with all aspects of the Federal Register publication process in fulfillment of the Office of the Federal Register's program responsibilities.
- →Understand and properly use the technical resources available for, and associated with the Federal Register publications processes, including information technology, legacy systems, and other technical resources.

- ✓The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service.
