The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) is the Nation's risk advisor, working with partners to defend against today's threats and collaborating with industry to build a more secure and resilient infrastructure for the future.
What You'll Do
- →Typical work assignments at the full performance level include, but are not limited to: Developing written products that articulate, interpret, and explain highly complex policies, programs, and research findings for a variety of audiences.
- →Educating various audiences on editorial, publishing, accessibility, and communication practices to improve the effectiveness of agency publications.
- →Researching and analyzing technical information obtained through interviews, publications, subject matter experts, and program officials to support publication development.
- →Reviewing and editing technical publications to ensure compliance with CISA standards, agency policies, publication requirements, and intended audience needs.
- →Performing Section 508 compliance reviews on electronic content, publications, and communications to ensure accessibility requirements are met.
- →Editing and rewriting manuscripts to improve organization, clarity, grammar, punctuation, style, and overall effectiveness while maintaining technical accuracy.
- →Coordinating publication activities with CISA offices, DHS components, and external stakeholders to support policy, planning, scheduling, verification, and production requirements.

- →Foreign Service Spouses Only: This position is remote work and telework eligible consistent with the Agency's telework and remote work program policy.
- →Applicants who live within the local commuting area (i.e., a 50-mile or less radius from Glebe Road, Arlington VA (not driving distance)) are eligible for 100% telework in accordance with agency policy.
Requirements
- ✓You must be a U.S. citizen.
- ✓Complete the initial online assessment and USA Hire Assessment, if required.

- ✓One-year probationary period may be required.
- ✓This position may be designated as essential personnel.
- ✓Essential personnel must be able to serve during continuity of operation events without regard to declarations of liberal leave or government closures due to weather, protests, and acts of terrorism or lack of funding.
