About the Role
This position is located within the Office of the Administrator, National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS), and supports national agricultural statistical programs through survey design, statistical analysis, estimation methodology, and preparation of official agricultural statistics and reports.
What You'll Do
- →Works with senior staff members, incumbent assists in developing plans and procedures for the conduct of agricultural survey work related to the Census of Agriculture.
- →Participate in the planning and conducting of enumerative and objective yield surveys.
- →Assists in planning and conducting agricultural and statistical analyses, estimates, forecasts, and reports concerning crops, livestock, and other agricultural commodities of national importance.
- →Helps analyze current indications in relation to historic Census records and other statistical conditions or items.
- →Assists in making clerical edits of terminology and data units and requiring some subject matter knowledge of agriculture to detect and correct inaccuracies and inconsistencies.
- →Verifies questionnaire reports by contacting respondents.
Requirements
- ✓You must be a US Citizen or US National.
- ✓Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.
- ✓Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
