What You'll Do
- →Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, establish priorities and prepare schedules for completion of work.
- →Provides advice and guidance on more complex/difficult matters of the military processing realm, provides instructions and guidance for operation of the automated system.
- →Oversees subordinate Military Pay Technicians or through Lead Military Pay Technician, oversees the accomplishment of technical work with policy, directives, regulations, and reporting requirements.
- →Perform internal personnel administration and management tasks.
- →Initiate personnel actions involving promotions, status changes, awards, disciplinary actions and separations.
- →Duties will be developmental in nature when the position is filled below the full performance level.
Requirements
- ✓GS-08 Substitution of Education for Experience: Eighteen months of graduate level education may be substituted to meet the specialized experience required when it is directly related to the work of the position being filled.
- ✓Equivalent combinations of successfully completed graduate level education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements when the education is directly related to the position being filled.
- ✓GS-9 Substitution of Education for Experience: Two full years of progressively higher level graduate education, Master's or equivalent graduate degree, may be substituted to meet the specialized experience requirement.
- ✓Equivalent combinations of successfully completed graduate level education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements.
- ✓If you are using education to substitute for the specialized experience and/or a basic requirement, you must submit transcripts at the time you apply.
- ✓To be creditable, education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university.
- ✓You must report only attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions that are recognized by the U.S.
- ✓Department of Education (http://www2.ed.gov/admins/finaid/accred/index.html).
