This vacancy is for a GS-2005-7, Supply Technician (OA) located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION FACILITY PORTSMOUTH in PORTSMOUTH, Virginia.
What You'll Do
- →You will serve as a Supply Technician (OA) and be responsible for conducting searches for required information and reconstructing records for complex supply transactions.
- →The position provides supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, and parts.
- →Additionally, the incumbent supports new work orders and enters, interprets, and analyzes business and funding data to inform decision-making regarding the Industrial Division's production and efficiency.
- →The position also supports IPF/IPD administrative support functions..
- →Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team.
- →Typical work assignments include: Initiating, preparing, editing, and processing stock requisitions to ensure accurate and timely replenishment of inventory.
- →Operating a Financial Management Information System to generate and distribute financial reports and data.
- →Operating computer terminals for record-keeping, data entry and correction, and coordination of shipping activities.
- →Overseeing stock maintenance and conducts physical inventories.
- →Receives and reviews documents and lists for receipt verification.
- →Initiates, prepares, edits, and processes stock requisitions.
- →Searches catalogs to identify and select appropriate items.
