About the Position: This position is located within the Center for the Intrepid on Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Serve as a Supply Technician for the Center for the Intrepid (CFI) at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC).
- →Perform a combination of tasks concerned with ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, and replenishing standard Class VIII medical, and non-medical supplies, expendable prosthetic, physical therapy, occupational therapy, wound care and more.
- →Manage the inventory of approximately 3,000-line items with a multi-million-dollar annual budget.
- →Maintain accountability of blanket purchase agreements (BPA) and annual contracts.
- →Ensure funds are available prior to initiation of purchase requests.
- →Initiates a variety of purchase requests.
- →Manage and execute equipment lifecycle replacement, new equipment request, equipment repair task in coordination with biomedical engineering.
