About the Role

This position is located in the Office of Special Investigations (OSI), Domestic Operations Directorate (DO), Diplomatic Security Service (DSS), Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS). The position oversees program operations for the Victims' Resource Advocacy Program (VRAP). The mission of VRAP is to empower those who have been victimized by the commission of crimes investigated by DSS. For more information about the Bureau, visit: DS

What You'll Do

  • Advises on the coordination, development, execution, and evaluation of the Victims' Resource Advocacy Program (VRAP) in support of victims of violent crimes being investigated by the entire Bureau.
  • Supervises a team of specialists responsible for providing victim support services and monitoring the victims related to Diplomatic Security Service investigations.
  • Evaluates and analyzes VRAP and its scope within the federal law enforcement community, implementing program policies to improve effectiveness.
  • Plans and coordinates victim support care services, ensuring comprehensive care for victims throughout the care process.
  • Serves as a point of contact and conduit of information to crime victims, other cabinet agencies, external representatives, international visitors, and others for best practices and guidance for involvement of the Department on victim-related issues.
