This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Office of Information Technology (OIT), Information Security & Privacy Group (ISPG), Division of Strategic Information (DSI). As a Supervisory Security Specialist, GS-0080-15, you will direct staff responsible for the enterprise National Security, Counterintelligence, Insider Threat and Supply Chain Risk Management programs.
What You'll Do
- →Manage a team of Security Specialists and intelligence professionals, assign work based on priorities and employee capabilities, conduct performance appraisals, resolve complaints, and ensure staff have the needed training and development.
- →Build recommendations that shape agency-wide policies and procedures, analyze proposed legislative and policy changes for their impact on CMS operations, and develop cost models to support smart, value-based national security IT decisions.
- →Serve as the agency's representative before various stakeholders on sensitive program and administrative issues persuading stakeholders and building coalitions to advance the agency's mission.
- →Set short- and long-term goals, manage budgets and resource allocation, identify process gaps, and introduce new techniques or procedures to continuously improve how the Division operates and delivers results.
