About the Position: This position is assigned to the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Military Community and Family Policy (DASD (MC&FP), Assistant Secretary of Defense for Manpower and Reserve Affairs (M&RA), Office of the Under Secretary of Defense, Personnel and Readiness (USD (P&R)). This position may be eligible for situational telework as determined by the agency policy.
What You'll Do
- →Provide strategic vision, leadership, and direction for Military Community Support Programs, aligning regional activities with national program goals and objectives.
- →Manage and direct a team of Regional Team Leads, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
- →Oversee the implementation of programs and services across the assigned region, ensuring alignment with agency goals, contractual requirements, and quality standards.
- →Serve as the primary point of contact for communication and collaboration with Military Services, community partners, and other key stakeholders within the region.
- →Establish regional performance metrics and targets, monitoring progress and identifying areas for improvement.
- →Serve at a primary point of contact for budget, ensuring efficient and effective allocation of resources.
- →Participate in the development and implementation of national program policies, procedures, and guidelines.
