About the Role
Located at the Great Plains Youth Regional Treatment Center (YRTC) near Mobridge, SD. This is a leadership position. Purpose is to serve as a Supervisory Behavioral Health Specialist (Clinical Director) to supervise & deliver quality behavioral health services & care to youth with substance use/chemical dependency/co-occurring problems. Provides active & constructive leadership in addition to management. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).
What You'll Do
- →The incumbent will serve as the Clinical Director.
- →Incumbent supervises the Substance Abuse Therapist, Mental Health Specialist, Supervisory Social Service Aid and others that may be established.
- →Oversees personnel management activities including position management, recruitment, staffing, employee relations, conducts conferences and staff meetings.
- →Develops job performance standards and assists in the proper evaluation and rating of employees.
- →Oversees the coordination of substance abuse/mental health services in various settings to ensure the highest level of care is provided.
- →Provides assessment, diagnosis, psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy utilizing a broad range of assessment and therapeutic resources.
Requirements
- ✓Selectee may be subject to a probationary period ESEP appointees typically serve a two year trial period U.S.
- ✓Citizenship is required Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959 This is a designated position covered by Public Law 101-630, requiring contact or control over Indian children.
