About the Role
The purpose of this position is to provide administration and management for a library program at a CNIC Headquarters (HQ) designated regional / installation library program, which may include oversight of CNIC HQ designated branch libraries.
What You'll Do
- →Duties include but not limited to: Supervisory Duties 25% -Supervises the work of employees, NF-03 and NF-04, engaged in library work which requires a high degree of professional judgement, technical skill and experience.
- →Program Management 50% - Responsible for planning, budgeting, coordinating, publicizing, marketing, and executing library programs that include the Annual Summer Reading Program, early literacy programs, and other library events and activities for patrons of all ages and diverse backgrounds. - Establishes installation library program's goals and priorities.
- →Ensures progressive program development and technological advancement commensurate with military and municipal library systems. - Maintains currency in library management trends, technology, techniques and materials.
Requirements
- ✓To qualify for this position incumbent must meet the occupational basic requirements IAW with OPM's qualification standards: A master's degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited institution AND three years of progressively responsible library-related work experience that includes one full year of supervisory experience.
