What You'll Do

  • Approve multi year and longer range work plans developed by the supervisors or managers of subordinate organizational units and subsequently manage the overall work to enhance achievement of the goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the revision of long range plans, goals and objectives for the work directed.
  • Manage the development of policy changes in response to changes in levels of appropriations or other legislated changes.
  • Manage organizational changes throughout the organization directed or major change to the structure and content of the program or program segments directed.
  • Exercise discretionary authority to approve the allocation and distribution of funds in the organizations budget.

  • Directs and oversees personnel responsible for privileged administration of enterprise human resources systems, security administration, user access management, and production data maintenance activities.
  • Exercises delegated supervisory and managerial authority over subordinate supervisors and staff including planning and assigning work, setting priorities, evaluating performance, interviewing and selecting employees, approving leave and administrative actions, resolving employee issues, identifying training needs, and ensuring accomplishment of organizational objectives.
  • Coordinates with executives, program managers, business owners, cybersecurity personnel, contractors, Treasury officials, and system developers regarding operational requirements, systems enhancements, implementation activities, systems issues, and service delivery improvements.
  • Provides oversight for systems-related projects and operational initiatives involving implementation of new technologies, modernization efforts, workflow changes, systems enhancements, testing activities, and improvements to operational efficiency and customer service delivery.
  • Advises higher-level management regarding HR systems operational capabilities, business process impacts, workforce requirements, service delivery concerns, and strategic initiatives affecting HR systems operations and support.
  • Assumes managerial accountability for the integrity, confidentiality, availability, and proper operation of enterprise HR systems and sensitive personnel information supporting Servicewide human resources operations.

Requirements

  • Probationary Period - A person who is required to go through a probationary period and then is transferred, promoted, demoted, or reassigned before he or she completes such period is required to complete the remainder of the probationary period in the new position.
  • Supervisory Probationary Period - Subject to a 1-year supervisory or managerial probationary period (unless already completed).
