About the Role
Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 10 Human Resources Management Service (HRMS) is seeking one Supervisory Human Resources Specialist (ER/LR) for a Temporary Promotion or Detail, NTE 1 year. The incumbent provides expert ER/LR guidance, advises leadership, manages workload, and supervises staff to ensure consistent and compliant ER/LR services across the SBU.
What You'll Do
- →Major duties and responsibilities for Supervisory Human Resources Specialist (ER/LR) but not limited to: Plans and directs work assignments, evaluates performance, provides guidance, selects applicants, and handles complaints, grievances, and disciplinary matters involving subordinate staff.- Ensures adequate training and provides direction on production and quality standards.
- →Evaluates unit productivity, quality, regulatory compliance, and technical accuracy.
- →Adjusts workflows and balances workloads to maximize operational effectiveness.
- →Meets regularly with staff to review production reports, solicit recommendations, and ensure optimal caseload management.
- →Advises leadership on management needs and identifies compliant alternatives that satisfy legal and regulatory obligations.
- →Interprets and clarifies HR policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements for managers and employees.
- →Develops new operating procedures to address emerging HR issues within the serviced area.
- →Analyzes regulatory and policy changes for impact on labor relations programs and identifies requirements for impact and implementation bargaining or full negotiations at the appropriate level.
- →Demonstrates maturity, foresight, and negotiation skills to resolve complex and controversial issues.
- →Work Schedule: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Requirements
