About the Role
About the Position: Serves as the Employee Relations/Labor Relations Branch Chief performing operational assignments in Civilian Human Resources Agency (CHRA). CHRA is responsible for operational HR effectiveness worldwide to include establishing and maintaining standards and measurements, total quality management, organizational development and workforce utilization for the Army's delivery of civilian personnel administrative services.
What You'll Do
- →Supervises and leads a team of Human Resources (HR) specialists providing employee relations and labor relations services.
- →Oversees the quality, timeliness, and consistency of branch operations and customer service.
- →Serves as a senior advisor to management on employee relations matters, including leave administration, performance management, misconduct, discipline, and actions addressing employee conduct or performance deficiencies.
- →Interprets applicable statutes, regulations, policies, and relevant case decisions; coordinates with legal counsel as appropriate.
- →Provides expert labor relations advice and representation to management.
- →Represents management and coordinates with internal and external stakeholders on complex employee and labor relations issues, including unions and third-party forums.
