About the Role
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (EMPLOYEE BENEFITS) in the INJURY COMPENSATION PROGRAM (FECA) CENTER OF EXCELLENCE of COMPACFLT HRO NORTHWEST. Salary: Hawaii: $111,119 - $144,457 Bremerton: $119,630 - $155,521
What You'll Do
- →You will act on behalf of the DCHR in teleconferences and meetings and exercises oversight and management of the Department of the Navy's (DON) FECA program within PACFLT.
- →You will be responsible for managing the P ACFLT' s FECA program which includes supporting programs such as: Return to Work Program, Light Duty Program, Ergonomic Program, Health Awareness, and Investigation Program.
- →You will ensure that the P ACFL T FECA program is operating efficiently and effectively in accordance with the Department of Labor (DOL), Department of Defense (DoD) and DON instructions, directives, guidance, etc.
- →You will use The Employees' Compensation Operations and Management Portal (ECOMP) in accordance with DOL, DoD and DON instructions.
- →You will ensure compliance with DOL, DoD and DON program standards, operating procedures, and instructions as provided.
- →You will provide guidance to the Injury Compensation Program Administrators (ICPAs) in the resolution of complex issues involving separation disability, disability retirement, vocational rehabilitation, return to work, and other related processes.
- →You will recommend case management strategies for cost effectiveness and long-term cost containment.
- →You will work conduct research of cases and compensation claims through continuous review of injury records, medical evaluations, investigations by the staff, contacts with other agencies, surveys of persons receiving benefits, or other techniques.
