About the Role

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Enterprise Services, Office of Human Resources Management, Talent Management Directorate, CBP Hiring Center located in either Bloomington, MN or Minneapolis, MN. Additional selections may be made for other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.

What You'll Do

  • As the Director, you will have delegated authority and oversight of the CBP Hiring Center, which provides comprehensive classification, staffing, and coordination of pre-employment services to all program offices within CBP.
  • This position starts at a salary of $161,291.00 (GS-, Step 1) to $197,200.00 (GS-15, Step 10).

  • In this position, the Director manages a group of first and second-line Supervisory Human Resources Specialists and oversees the routine day-to-day operations of the Division in the areas of frontline and mission support personnel.
  • Developing a strong working relationship with key CBP staff in order to develop solutions to difficult HR issues and problems.
