The Office of Financial Management (AFM) provides financial oversight and information on the use of agency financial resources. AFM is responsible for financial and travel policy, financial and acquisition systems, cost accounting, capitalization of the agency¿s $12.3 billion portfolio of national airspace system assets, financial reporting, financial internal controls, and oversight of the agency¿s financial internal controls programs and reimbursable agreements.
What You'll Do
- →The Support Contracts Staff provides acquisition management services to AFM and other Lines of Business and Staff Offices.
- →This includes conducting reviews of proposed procurements, assisting Contracts Officers in developing and managing contracts, monitoring contract performance, and providing technical direction.
- →The Supervisory Financial Analyst serves as Manager, responsible for managerial oversight and direction of staff responsible for supporting AFM initiatives.
- →Manages, directs and facilitates multiple programs, projects and activities that support the organization¿s goals and objectives.
- →Assists in developing, disseminating and tracking communications within the financial community.
- →Responsible for process improvement, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, federal standards and agency regulations, and developing and implementing new policies and procedures.
- →May include providing acquisition management services to AFM and other lines of business.
- →Applies a thorough understanding of the principles of management and strategic planning.
- →The incumbent will be responsible for the direction of one or more of the following areas, applying detailed knowledge of the technical aspects of the work that is directed: Capitalization of property and reimbursable accounting for property and services.
- →Ensuring efficient and effective financial operations, including oversight of the financial management system Delphi, the contract writing and purchase requisition system PRISM, and other accounting operations tools and systems.
- →Conducting cost accounting and delivering labor distribution data, including reporting the agency¿s cost through indirect rates, providing support for producing the Statement of Net Cost and life cycle systems costing.
- →Overseeing development of financial policy, including managing the financial manual, developing travel policy and managing the travel charge card program.
- →Managing the development and delivery of financial management standard operating procedures and developing and executing the agency¿s financial internal controls program.
- →Producing financial statements and reporting, including monthly and quarterly reconciliations.
