About the Role
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER in the Environmental Compliance Division (EV1) of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND HAWAII.
What You'll Do
- →You will serve as a senior point-of-contact on assigned environmental compliance products and services and the associated interdisciplinary teams.
- →You will be responsible for multi-year and long-range staffing plans, develop work schedules, and establish priorities among staff.
- →You will resolve problems or conflicts as related to Environmental Compliance program management within the area of responsibility, and manage the execution of the Environmental Compliance program and project funds.
- →You will provide technical consultation on interpretation and implementation of environmental compliance requirements to comply with applicable environmental regulations.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
