About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency, Defense Health Network Indo-Pacific, at Health Clinic, Camp Humphreys, Republic of Korea. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Coordinate and direct the preventive maintenance, repair, and operational performance of complex medical facility utility systems (including HVAC, electrical, and water systems).
- →Review and analyze engineering drawings, facility construction plans, and technical specifications to ensure compliance with commercial codes, DoD criteria, and Joint Commission accreditation standards.
- →Utilize automated facility management systems (such as DMLSS and BUILDER SMS) to maintain real property inventories, program manufacturer-recommended maintenance tasks, and forecast long-term budget requirements.
- →Serve as Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) or Ordering Officer to inspect, evaluate, and check contractor work performance on facility maintenance or construction projects.
- →Review and evaluate contractor material submittals, test procedures, and invoices to verify accuracy and compliance with government contract specifications.
- →Conduct proactive, on-site engineering inspections and physical risk assessments of facilities and grounds to identify system deficiencies and recommend corrective technical actions.
- →Manage personnel by establishing operational priorities, assigning work based on employee capabilities, and managing time and attendance.
- →Evaluate subordinate work performance, develop formal/informal performance appraisals, and identify developmental or training needs to improve branch capabilities.
- →Resolve employee grievances, execute minor disciplinary actions, recommend selections for vacant positions, and strictly apply Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative employment policies.
- →Direct operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, as well as specialized medical utilities (e.g., medical gas, negative pressure rooms, emergency power systems).
- →Research and interpret The Joint Commission Environment of Care and Life Safety standards.
