Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol, El Centro Sector, Law Enforcement Operations, located in Imperial, CA. Additional selections may be made beyond the total number of vacancies specified using this vacancy announcement. Further selections may also be made for additional organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.
What You'll Do
- →Relocation Authorized Position: Due to the current funding hiatus, all relocations will be placed on hold at the time of selection.
- →As soon as the hiatus ends and funding becomes available, you will be contacted by the CBP Hiring Center to coordinate an enter on duty (EOD) date and complete the necessary relocation forms.

- →This position will allow you to use your expertise to prevent illegal entry of aliens into the United States by land, water, or air; enforce criminal provisions of the Immigration and Nationality Laws; and seek out and apprehend smugglers or aliens who are in the United States illegally.

- →This position starts at a salary of $150,693.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $195,907.00 (GS-14, Step 10).
- →As a Supervisory Border Patrol Agent (Executive Officer), you will serve as a secondary administrative law enforcement officer (under 5 U.S.C. 8331 (c) and 8412 (d) and be responsible for: Assisting in the planning and directing of sector-wide programs that enforce immigration and nationality laws.
- →Assuming responsibility for all sector activities in the absence of the Chief Patrol Agent, including making preliminary determinations regarding the prosecution of immigration and national law violators.
- →Reviewing and recommending courses of action regarding personnel issues at the sector level.
