Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol, Blaine Sector, Special Operations Detachment. Additional selections may be made beyond the total number of vacancies specified using this vacancy announcement. Further selections may also be made for additional organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.
What You'll Do
- →This position will allow you to use your expertise to prevent illegal entry of aliens into the United States by land, water, or air; enforce criminal provisions of the Immigration and Nationality Laws; and seek out and apprehend smugglers or aliens who are in the United States illegally.

- →This position starts at a salary of $122,940.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $159,824.00 (GS-13, Step 10).
- →The Supervisory Border Patrol Agent, serves as a first-line supervisor in primary law enforcement officer under 5 U.S.C. 8336 (c) and 8412 (d),duties and responsibilities include: Directing assignments of subordinate BORTAC Operators to meet operational needs and mission requirements.
- →Engaging in and leading complex multi-agency counterterrorism operations, evidence gathering, high-risk warrant service, and national manhunt operations requiring advanced tactics.
- →Analyzing live intelligence and directing team to high-risk operational area, strategically leveraging gathering information to enhance mission effectiveness.
- →Developing and implementing strategic operational plans including resource allocation, personnel deployment, and tactical procedure development addressing emerging threats and changing operational environments.
