What You'll Do
- →Supervises and directs functions responsible for providing financial operations travel support to active duty military and civilian personnel, retiring active duty soldiers, and reserve military personnel.
- →Establishes and implements controls to ensure that employees validate obligations of funds recorded in the accounting system prior to authorizing payment.
- →Responds to customers and subordinates regarding travel claims, discrepancies, and procedures.
- →Researches complex problems covering all aspects of processing or technical travel transactions.
- →Trains and assists lower level accounting technicians with techniques to correct and process accounting inputs.
Requirements
- ✓GS-08 Substitution of Education for Experience: Eighteen months of graduate level education may be substituted to meet the specialized experience required when it is directly related to the work of the position being filled.
- ✓Equivalent combinations of successfully completed graduate level education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements when the education is directly related to the position being filled.
