About the Role
This position is in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Finance Branch, Financial Reporting Section. The principal objective of the Finance Branch is to provide Agency-wide central accounting and financial management services to the Agency. In addition, the Finance Branch provides accurate and timely financial reporting, produces auditable financial statements and provides financial management support to Agency program offices.
What You'll Do
- →As a Supervisory Accountant (Financial Reporting Supervisor), GS-0510-14, your typical work assignments may include: Working with accounting principles and practices and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
- →Planning the work to be accomplished by the unit, assigns work to employees, and establishes production or quality standards for the unit's work.
- →Coordinating and direct the preparation of a variety of statements and reports illustrative of operational trends, cost comparisons, accomplishments, goals, schedules, to assist in management planning and in evaluation of the present accounting system.
- →Making decisions concerning the accounting and administrative treatment of financial transactions of a complex or novel nature.
