About the Role
These positions are located at the West Haven Cooperative Studies Program Coordinating Center (CSPCC) at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System in West Haven, CT.
What You'll Do
- →***THIS IS NOT A VIRTUAL POSITION, YOU MUST LIVE WITHIN OR BE WILLING TO RELOCATE WITHIN A COMMUTABLE DISTANCE OF THE DUTY LOCATION*** This position involves a multi-grade career ladder.
- →The major duties listed below represent the full performance level of GS-13.
- →At the GS-12 grade level, you will perform assignments of a more limited scope and with less independence.
- →You will progressively acquire the background necessary to perform at the full performance level of GS-13.
- →Promotion is at the discretion of the supervisor and is contingent upon satisfactory performance, availability of higher level work, and availability of funds.
- →Duties may include, but are not limited to the following: Provides guidance and direction in study design.
- →Initiates studies by participating or directing protocol changes, the development of study operations manuals and the design and development of case report forms.
- →Ensures high quality of research data and performs informatics and data processing activities.
- →Analyzes collected data in order to elucidate significant factors, relationships and trends.
- →Prepares cross tabulations or frequency listings of selected variables to assess the validity of data.
- →Serves as an expert consultant and advisor to the Study Team.
- →Works closely with the study team's statistical programmer and research associates to develop case report forms and data management procedures.
- →Initiates and conducts research activities when appropriate.
- →Performs other related duties as assigned.
