About the Role
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.
What You'll Do
- →GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The position is located in the Portland metropolitan area or within one of the VA Portland Health Care System (VAPORHCS) associated Community Based Outpatient Clinics.
- →The psychologist works within the Mental Health Division's (MHD) Women's and Gender Diverse Program (WGDP).
- →The psychologist is expected to have strong communication and/or team-building skills.
- →WGDP psychologists are expected to have expertise in eating disorders and CBT-E, reproductive mental health, and gender affirming care.
- →Individual, family, and group psychotherapy modalities are provided; other interventions such as biofeedback, psychological hypnosis, and environmental interventions require special privileging.
- →Additionally, Telemedicine approaches may be used to provide clinical care.
- →WGDP psychologists consult with medical center staff on a wide variety of patient care issues.
- →Further, WGDP psychologists may be involved in training, program evaluation, and/or research activities.
