About the Role
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.

- →In this role, the psychologist is the primary clinician for the testing and assessment of patients aged 65 and over on an outpatient basis, specifically testing for cognitive dysfunction and providing feedback to the patient, caregivers, and referral source.
- →Additionally, the psychologist functions as part of an interdisciplinary team, with duties on the Palliative and Community Living Center teams, providing comprehensive assessment and intervention services for veterans with complex and chronic, disabling diseases.
- →Clinical Duties: The CLC/palliative psychologist roles provide a range of clinical and educational services.
- →Administrative Duties: 1.
- →Participates fully in privileging, educational and peer review activities, assessing the quality of professional psychology standards provided. 2.
- →Participates in support of Mental Health, GEC, and Psychology administrative and performance improvement activities, e.g. by taking on assigned projects and serving on committees. 3.
- →Serves on Medical Center or Healthcare System, VISN, and/or National VA committees or task forces, as endorsed by supervisors, e.t.c.
- →Work Schedule: Monday to Friday: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Recruitment Incentive (Sign-on Bonus): Maybe authorized for highly qualified applicants.
