Staff Psychologist - Primary Care Mental Health Integration

About the Role
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.
What You'll Do
- →Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional Duties of the Staff Psychologist-Primary Care Mental Health Integration may include, but are not limited to: Provides a full range of psycho-diagnostic services, including assessments and using the most appropriate psychotherapeutic techniques in providing quality care.
- →Applies principals of population-based care (defines role and identifies problems rapidly) Initial appointments are based on functional assessments and treatment focuses on functional outcomes.
- →Provides brief mental health and behavioral interventions (e.g., 1 - 6 sessions for broad range of concerns).
- →Uses time-limited, evidence based, interventions that are simple and concrete.
- →Uses self-management/home-based practice interventions.
- →Uses intermittent visit strategy and flexible patient contact strategies.
- →Triages appropriately and efficiently to specialty mental health services.
- →Uses brief measurement-based care routinely.
- →(e.g., PHQ-9, PCL, AUDIT C,etc) Provides a full range of therapeutic interventions including: individual and group therapies.
- →Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm, with occasional evening/weekend hours as needed; subject to change based on facility needs.
- →Compressed/Flexible: May be possible depending on clinic needs.

Requirements
