About the Role
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.
What You'll Do
- →Spinal Cord Injury & Disorder Program The SCI& D Social Worker serves as program coordinator at the GS-12 grade level.
- →The incumbent is administratively responsible for the Beckley VAMC Spinal Cord Injury and Disorder (SCI&D) program.
- →The Spinal Cord Injury and Disorder program provides a full-range of care for all eligible Veterans who have spinal cord injuries (SCI) and spinal cord disorders (SCD).
- →These include both traumatic SCI due to such events as motor vehicle accidents, falls, and acts of violence and Nontraumatic disorders and diseases of the spinal cord to include Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).
- →Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Recruitment Incentive (Sign-on Bonus): Not Authorized Permanent Change of Station (Relocation Assistance): Not Authorized EDRP Authorized: Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply for incentive.

Requirements
