The Registered Radiologist Assistant provides coverage to the Radiology/Imaging Department as an advanced level RRA who enhances patient care by extending the capacity of the supervising Radiologist or other Physician with equivalent experience or training. The role falls between the traditional roles of the Radiologist and the Radiographer.
What You'll Do
- →Duties of the Registered Radiologist Assistant include, but are not limited to: Performs complex invasive procedures under the direction of a supervising Radiologist or other Physician with equivalent experience or training.
- →Performs Image analysis and guidance to ensure successful needle placement via supporting modalities.
- →Assists Radiologist and/or nursing with monitoring and administering IV therapy.
- →Assists Radiologist with sedation medications, vital signs, ECG monitoring of patients receiving moderate sedation.
- →Performs and documents radiology focused physical examination with analysis of data (e.g.
- →Signs & symptoms, laboratory values, significant abnormalities, vital signs) and report findings to supervise Radiologist or another Physician.
- →Observes and assess patients who have received moderate sedation.
- →Administers contrast and general medications prescribed by the radiologist as defined by local policy.
- →Works with Pathology to successfully obtain samples.
- →Provides special instructions/patient education for follow-up exam.
- →Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 07:30-16:00.
- →Subject to change based on the needs of the facility.

Requirements
- ✓You must be a U.S.
