About the Role
This position is located at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center, Milwaukee Wisconsin, in the Quality, Safety, and Value Division (QSV). The Risk Manager (RM) Registered Nurse (RN) functions as an advanced clinician and executes position responsibilities that demonstrate leadership, experience, and creative approaches to management of activities for the Risk Management Program.
What You'll Do
- →The primary roles and duties for this position are responsible for auditing and investigating that affect the internal security of the agency.
- →This position is directly responsible for protecting the internal security of the agency through investigations/audits of patient care records for several purposes such as fact finding, sentinel events, surveillance, performance improvement, root cause analyses, Healthcare Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (HFMEA), and regulatory agency requests (i.e.
- →Office of Inspector General, The Joint Commission, Office of Medical Inspector, Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, etc.) which affect the security of Clement J.
- →Zablocki Veterans Administration Health Care System by ensuring that the duties are discharged with honesty and integrity and the activities are imperative to the functional operation of the agency in carrying out its mission.
- →The Risk Manager (RM) Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for providing leadership and daily management of activities for the Risk Management Program.
- →Conducts and participates in risk assessments and quality reviews as assigned and within the required timeframe.
- →Serves as the Protected Peer Review coordinator and is responsible for tracking, trending, and analyzing protected peer review information and monitoring and reporting significant changes in the information or data.
- →This position may serve as a member of Interdisciplinary groups.
- →Formulates recommendations to the Chief of Quality Management to improve/change facility systems based on standard changes/revisions, data collected, and best practices.

Requirements
