About the Role
The Arrhythmia/Device Coordinator provides advanced clinical expertise managing arrhythmias and cardiac implantable devices at the Salt Lake City VA Medical Center. This role includes specialized device evaluation and management, patient and family education, assessment and triage of arrhythmia patients and consults, interdisciplinary collaboration, and data oversight. They serve as a proactive clinical leader, promoting high quality care, consistent device protocols, and ongoing improvement.
What You'll Do
- →https://youtu.be/LM35k1p_3Tc?si=OYdVLJgrv6Jbwh7l Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Perform complex patient assessments and document findings accordingly.
- →Order labs, radiological studies, and pre-procedure tests per protocol.
- →Complete non-VA funding requests for procedures (if required) and consults other services as directed.
- →Manage patient and refer provider phone calls and messages, triage and consult with Arrhythmia providers as necessary.
- →Review and triage Arrhythmia service consult and collaborate with EP physicians to assess and recommend patient treatment options to referring providers.
- →Assistant patients/families in coordination of travel and lodging for out-of-town patient scheduled for procedures.
- →Work with the Arrhythmia team to manage remote monitoring program of implanted cardiac devices, ensure enrollment in vendor-specific site, analyze and interpret data from devices and work with EP physicians to take appropriate action as needed on abnormal findings.
- →Provide device support for hospitalized patients during ER visits, EP lab procedures, pre/post surgeries, MRI imaging, and other areas, as appropriate.

Requirements
- ✓Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
