About the Role
The Assistant Nurse Manager serves as a clinical expert, accountable for all elements of the nursing process in providing and supervising direct patient care. The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent clinical judgment, interpersonal skills, and is a self-directed leader who collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and drives innovative process improvements to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
What You'll Do
- →Functions as a resource person to nursing and other personnel for clinic practices and patient care issues.
- →Assists the Nurse Manager in monitoring clinic for compliance with applicable performance measures and Joint Commission standard Responsible for charge nurse training and mentoring Acts as Charge Nurse on the shifts/days worked in staffing when needed.
- →Maintains professional boundaries with patients, families, and employees.
- →Ensures application of institutional policy to protect information from unauthorized release, loss, alteration, or deletion.
- →Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication skills.
- →Demonstrates professional and cooperative behavior in all aspects of practice Collaborates with peers in completing clinic workload efficiently.
- →Participates in clinic-based performance improvement activities to improve patient care.

Requirements
- ✓Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
