About the Role

The selectee for this position will serve as a Regional Emergency Response Dispatcher, GS-2151-07 in the Commander, Navy Region of COMMANDER, NAVAL REGION JAPAN. ***ACCESS TO MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE IN JAPAN IS EXTREMELY LIMITED. Please see Additional Information section below.***

What You'll Do

  • You will receive emergency and non-emergency requests by telephone, mobile radio, mobile data computers or automatic alarms throughout the Navy Region.
  • You will operate a variety of communications equipment.
  • You will instruct caller in a variety of emergency first aid techniques including but not limited to CPR, Heimlich maneuver, opening an airway, controlling breathing, emergency childbirth, etc.
  • You will maintain logs, forms, and status of security and fire personnel on duty and available using the CAD system.

  • Additional Information Continued: ICTAP Applicants: To be considered well-qualified and exercise selection priority as an ICTAP candidate, displaced Federal employees must satisfy all qualification requirements for the position and receive a rating in the highly qualified category (score 85) or higher.
