About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and is located at the Youth Center on Kadena Air Base in Okinawa, Japan.
What You'll Do
- →Plans, organizes, and assists in the execution of special events, holiday parties, and recreational programming for youth and community members.
- →Responsible for the opening and closing of the Youth Center and other recreational facilities.
- →Serves as the primary point of contact for customer service-related incidents, addressing patron concerns, resolving conflicts, and escalating issues to the supervisor when necessary.
- →Checks equipment and gear in and out; ensures all issued gear is returned, accounted for, and properly stored at the end of each shift.
- →Operates and oversees laser tag and other special event equipment and activities.
- →Performs routine cleaning and maintenance of recreational areas to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
- →Inspects indoor and outdoor recreational facilities, equipment, and tools to verify general condition and safety compliance.
- →Reports facility or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor in a timely manner.
- →Conducts inventory of authorized recreational supplies and equipment on a recurring basis.
- →Performs minimal administrative duties such as maintaining records, logs, and basic documentation related to facility operations.
- →Assists with additional duties as assigned to support overall recreational operations.
