About the position: This position will be assigned to Moody AFB Outdoor Rec. Guaranteed 20 hours, but may work up to 40 hours per week. Performs and/or assists other recreation assistants or specialists in the planning, organizing, and coordination of recurring & nonreoccurring activities
What You'll Do
- →Responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing all operations of the Outdoor Adventure program (Paintball, archery, & Mission Lake) facilities.
- →Plans, organizes & coordinates the details of recurring & nonrecurring activities & special events, to include such activities as backpacking, rockclimbing, mountaineering, fishing, white water rafting, kayaking, caving, biking etc.
- →Assist the supervisor by implementing higher level directives, fomulating procedures & programs to ensure high standards of recreation programs.
- →Develops outdoor adventure programs designed to stimulate and sustain the interests of participants.
- →Provides technical advice and assistance to participants regarding the various programs.
- →Instructs and leads outdoor adventure trips, outdoor adventure shops, and clinics; trains volunteer staff as required.
- →Resolves customer complaints, referring more technical complaints the to supervisor.
- →Assists in developing marketing plans, NAF operating budgets, NAF Capital Expenditure budgets; provides input to supervisor and assists in analyzing financial results.
- →Provides day-to-day oversight and work direction to assigned personnel.
- →Identifies training needs and ensures training is received/completed.
- →Performs other related duties as assigned.
