About the position: This position will be assigned to Outdoor Recreation at Mountain Home AFB, ID. This is a Flexible position with no guaranteed hours, however may work up to 40 hours per week. This position does not offer benefits.
What You'll Do
- →Program Support: Leads and assists in executing outdoor recreation trips and instructional classes.
- →Coordinates operations across multiple functional areas; including resale, marina activities, equipment rental, trips, and events ensuring safe and effective execution.
- →Provides guidance during on and off-site programs and special events.
- →Administrative Support: Provides comprehensive administrative and logistical support to the Recreation Specialist.
- →Assists in drafting detailed itineraries and developing lesson plans.
- →Manages patron reservations, maintains accurate attendance records, and generates post-trip after-action reports.
- →Coordinates program outreach by professionally managing and resolving customer inquiries via telephone, email, social media, and in-person interactions.
- →Equipment & Asset Management: Issues and receives outdoor recreation equipment and assists in maintaining accurate inventory accountability.
- →Conducts safety inspections and performs routine cleaning and technical maintenance on all recreational gear.
- →Safety & Facility Readiness: Sets up recreation areas for scheduled activities and maintains facility cleanliness to ensure daily operational readiness.
- →Verifies all facilities and equipment adhere strictly to established safety and risk management standards prior to patron use.
- →Transportation & Logistics (MVO) Transports customers and mission-essential gear safely and reliably in accordance with scheduled mission requirements.
- →Operates motor vehicles, including passenger vans, pickup trucks towing travel/equipment trailers, and specialized water or snow-specific recreational vehicles.
