This is a RFT (full-time) position located at the Fitness Center on Joint Base Langley-Eustis VA - Ft Eustis location. Position is guaranteed 35 hours per week. This position may be subject to holidays, nights, weekends and on-call work.
What You'll Do
- →Performs and/or assists in operation and maintenance of the Fitness and Sports program and facilities.
- →Enforces customer access and priority IAW established procedures and regulatory guidance.
- →Establishes schedules of events as well as the rules and regulations to be observed.
- →Provides customers with information on available classes and programs, answering questions, phone calls, providing orientation of facility layout and equipment location.
- →Performs safety inspections to include Fire, Safety, Public Health, etc.
- →Prepares, submits, receives and accounts for supply orders.
- →Evaluates playing conditions and coordinates with coaches and officials to determine postponements.
- →Accomplishes, submits, responds to and follow-up on work orders.
- →Secures facilities and equipment.
- →Collects user fees in the form of cash and credit transactions, processes cash accountability paperwork; safeguards funds and equipment.
- →Operates government vehicles in the course of daily duties.
- →Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- ✓Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
- ✓This position does not allow for education substitution.
- ✓FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements.
- ✓You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
- ✓It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
