This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Major Range Test Facility Base (MRTFB). to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serve as a Public Safety Telecommunicator for dispatching Fire, Emergency Medical Service (EMS), and Law Enforcement (LE) responders, monitoring alarms and activating Mass Notification Systems in Army Garrison Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) / 911 Centers.
What You'll Do
- →Provide emergency services to the public by answering emergency 911 calls and responding with appropriate personnel and equipment.
- →Monitor computerized fire and Joint Capabilities Integration Development System (ICIDS) alarm systems.
- →Maintain an accurate status of all emergency response equipment and personnel to ensure prompt and accurate response.
- →Operate Computer Aided Dispatching (CAD) system, telephones, radios, and station alerting systems.
- →Provide initial Incident Command support until responding emergency units arrive on scene.
- →Provide emergency medical dispatching assistance to callers with medical emergencies.
