About the Role
This position is in the Office of Public Affairs and Training (OPAT), Training Division (TD). The selectee will participate as a team member in the design, development, and testing of training covering a variety of programs or topics.
What You'll Do
- →Lead the design and implementation of nationwide training initiatives for FSIS.
- →Develop policy and strategic direction for FSIS training programs.
- →Serve as a senior consultant and subject matter expert for FSIS leadership and external partners.
- →Oversee evaluation and continuous improvement of training effectiveness across regions.
- →Mentor and supervise junior training coordinators and specialists.
- →Develop and implement innovative training methodologies and technologies.
- →Lead needs assessments and workforce analysis for FSIS training programs.
- →Draft high-level reports and recommendations for agency leadership.
- →Coordinate interagency and cross-sector training collaborations.
- →Ensure compliance with federal regulations and agency policies in all training activities.
- →Manage complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and regions.
- →Provide expert advice on public health and food safety issues to FSIS and external entities.
Requirements
- ✓This position has a minimum education requirement to qualify at either of the advertised grades.
- ✓All applicants need to meet the minimum education requirements for this position.
- ✓The 30 semester hours may include up to 8 semester hours in statistics, or course work that included the principles, theory, or practical application of computers or computer programming.
- ✓OR Combination of education and experience - courses consisting of at least 30 semester hours in the fields of study described in the paragraph above, plus appropriate experience (as described under the Qualifications section) or additional education.
