About the Role

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.

  • →Team leaders provide direct care and manage an interdisciplinary team that provides services to Veterans presenting with a variety of mental health concerns in an outpatient mental health setting.
  • →Psychologists at VAAAHS enjoy a stimulating clinical and academic environment with a strong tradition of evidence-based practice, education, and research.
  • →Assigned Duties include but are not limited- Program Management Responsibilities: Has broad program management responsibilities, which include the operation and management of key clinical, training, or administrative activities.
  • →Has technical and administrative supervision of the program staff including several Title 5, Title 38 and/or Hybrid Title 38, positions.
  • →Provides clinical supervision (as appropriate), guidance and consultation for staff and trainees.
  • →Responsibilities include implementation of programs and procedures; oversight of administrative and programmatic resources.
  • →Further, responsibilities include monitoring of outcomes using a data-driven quality assurance process for a program that delivers specialized, complex, highly professional services that are important components of the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System, and significantly affect the health care provided to veterans.
  • →The Program Manager is responsible for the continuous evaluation of outcome monitors, measurements, and improvements in all phases of substance use disorder treatment and quality improvement initiatives.
  • →Oversees development of new treatment protocols for patients.
  • →Has direct responsibility for all aspects of psychological services in the program, including those conducted by trainees and staff.
  • →Consults with and serves as a resource for other professional personnel concerning the need for and development of psychological services.
  • →Teaching Responsibilities: Provides didactic lectures as assigned and qualified across training programs.
  • →Provides workshops/seminars and consultation as assigned and qualified.
