About the Role
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.

- →Truman Memorial Veterans' Hospital (Truman VA).
- →Truman VA is a level 1C Medical Center which provides inpatient, residential and outpatient mental health services at the main facility as well as both outpatient medical and mental health services at each of our eight area Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs).
- →Duties may include: Directly supervises a diverse team (15 FTE) of psychologists (GS 13) and social workers (GS 11-12).
- →These clinicians provide PCMHI and HBPC services at the main facility and the CBOCs.
- →Serves as a supervisor, including the completion of mid- and end-of-year performance reviews for all BH staff associated with PCMHI and HBPC at the main facility and CBOCs as assigned.
- →Assists in development of performance plans and individualized productivity targets.
- →Monitors staff productivity and ensures compliance across all programs and personnel with national and local performance measures, standards and mandates.
- →Conducts regular documentation and coding reviews of staff to ensure quality services.
- →Approves leave for all staff associated with programs under his/her responsibility to ensure continuity of care and uninterrupted provision of services.
- →Coordinates the recruitment and selection of staff associated with programs under his/her/their supervision.
- →Provides consultation to diverse front-line staff on complex clinical cases/situations, both onsite and remotely through telehealth technology.
- →Develops, implements, and documents the collaboratively determined plan of care for patients in the primary care setting whether presenting for scheduled appointments or same day access from warm handoffs from primary care providers.
- →Or, if needed, develops, implements, and documents the psychotherapeutic treatment plan for an assigned caseload of patients, including prompt completion of clinical reminders.
