About the Role
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.
What You'll Do
- →The purpose of the Primary Care Mental Health Integration (PCMHI) Program Manager is to provide independent clinical administration of the Primary Care Mental Health program and supervision of interdisciplinary staff who work in the Program.
- →Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional Duties include, but are not limited to: The incumbent carries out the following supervisory authorities and responsibilities: Provides direct line supervision of an interdisciplinary team of PCMHI staff, including social workers, psychologists, and prescribing providers, with anticipation of program expansion.
- →Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work.
- →Assigns work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees.
- →Evaluates work performance of subordinates.
- →Coordinating services offered to veterans and their families enrolled in the program.
- →Services include functional assessment, medications, crisis intervention, educational, individual, and group treatment, interventions specific to chronic health conditions, and care management.
- →Formulating, interpreting, and implementing policies and procedures pertaining to quality mental health care in PCMHI to assure compliance with internal and external performance standards.
- →Developing effective programs and treatment strategies for PCMHI program patients.
- →Interfacing with other program Managers, Service Chief, Mental Health product line leadership, and VA personnel.
- →Advising Mental Health leadership on relevant programmatic issues with recommendations for improvement in service delivery.
- →Collaborating with other program directors and managers as a member of the Mental Health Executive Committee.
- →Collaborating with Primary Care executive staff as a member of the PACT Steering Committee.
- →Maintaining effective working relationship with internal and external customer groups.
