About the Role
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.

- →Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional ********RELOCATION INCENTIVE OFFERED************** The Psychology Program Manager serves as the Mental Health (MH) Director at the Oakland Community Based Outpatient Clinic (OKCBOC).
- →The OKCBOC provides a broad range of outpatient care, which includes, in addition to mental health services, primary care, dermatology, podiatry, dental, audiology, optometry, HUD-VASH and HBPC.
- →The Psychology Program Manager as responsibility for all clinical and administrative services in the program and is directly responsible for the management and supervision of a large interdisciplinary mental health staff.
- →The Psychology Program Manager has broad program management responsibilities for a specific program or programs that are designed to deliver specialized, complex, highly professional services that are important program components of the facility and that significantly impact the health care provided to Veterans.
- →Decisions made by the Psychology Program Manager affect staff and other resources associated with the programs managed and are made while exercising wide latitude and independent judgment.
- →The Psychology Program Manager organizes work, sets priorities, delegates tasks, and meets multiple deadlines.
- →The incumbent understands and utilizes evidence-based practices and clinical practice guidelines appropriately and guides staff in using these tools.
- →The incumbent deals effectively with individuals or groups representing widely divergent backgrounds, interests, and points of view.
