About the Role
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.
What You'll Do
- →The CWT Transitional Residence, (CWT-TR) Program manager is located at VA Boston Healthcare System (a large, multi-site, 1a facility) in the Mental Health Service.
- →This position assumes the responsibility as program Manager for the clinical operations and administrative oversight of an 18 bed men's and a 7 bed women's CWT-TR program, both part of the residential continuum of care in VA Boston Healthcare system.
- →The residential component of both programs includes living in a VA-Owned home in the community near the hospital and participating in outpatient mental health, medical services, and a transitional work program on the Jamacia Plain campus.
- →The responsibilities of the Program manager in this position are broad and complex.
- →Duties and responsibilities include: Manages CWT-TR Finances, collect treatment fees, and manage a budget to ensure the programs remain viable and have funds for essential items including food, repairs, utilities, and supplies.
- →Works with the VA Medical center to ensure the residential settings where the veterans live meet a broad range of safety standards and address any deficiencies noted in safety and other regulatory reviews.
- →Will advocate for resources as needed.
- →Will serve as a liaison to other programs s (i.e.
- →Vocational, outpatient Drug and Alcohol treatment, mental health clinics, and housing programs.) to ensure veterans receive the care that is needed and are performing well at medical center worksites in their transitional work positions while in the program and have safe discharge/aftercare plans.
- →Serves as the administrative and clinical supervisor for staff members assigned to the CWT-TR Programs, including Licensed Clinical Social Workers.
- →The program manager also supervises 7-9 volunteer house managers who provide coverage of the residences during WHEN hours and communicate with Licensed staff when needed.
- →Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm with occasional need for flexible hours to accommodate programming and provide coverage Telework: Available Ad-Hoc Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
